4 out of 5 stars Great Grill   August 31, 2010
Mark Poustinchian (CA, USA)
It is a great grill and cooks very evenly. The only problem is that chicken, hamburgers or soft meat will stick and hard to turn them over without tearing them. I think the cooking surface needs to age and it may get better later. However, all the chicken was cooked perfectly and it cooked enough food for 6 people with one round of cooking. I have modified mine because I wanted to attach it to the house propane gas line. I removed the regulator because house gas line already has a regulator. Then I got some fittings from ACE hardware store to create a 3/8" male receiver on the grill side. I ordered a stainless steel tube from a company based in California with 3/8" female fittings on both ends. The tube connected the grill to the house propane gas line. I also added a grill thermometer that was easy to add by drilling a hole in front of the top cover.

I bought a Weber Q200 a couple of years ago and have been frustrated at every turn in my efforts to get this little grill to operate properly. It appears that the gas safety interlock device is so cleverly designed that no one wil ever be able to be harmed by this grill. And that is because on two out of three occasions, it's absolutely impossible to get enough gas to the grill to get it hot enough for normal use. And simply forget about searing a steak. Mercy. And yes, yes, I have followed Weber's exacting protocol for lighting the grill and have spoken with their customer servcie department - four times in the past two days.

I've owned many many gas grills over the years: Kenmore, CharBroil, Ducane(2), Holland, and now this feeble little fella. The folks at Weber seem to know what they are doing. Heck their old gas grills are perfectly fine. But this - this circus freak of propane engineering is an embarassment to the brand.

Sorry folks. Pick another grill.

Product was delivered inoperable and the Co that Amazon forwarded the order to couldn't have cared less. Referred me to the manufacturer.
Big help, they're in Germany.

5 out of 5 stars Great Small Grill   June 24, 2010

I am single and just wanted a small grill -- really great but the rack is really heavy. It is very heavy to left with the rack in there. And, remember to add a stand and a cover to the price because you will need them both. The propane replacements are expensive. mcg

5 out of 5 stars Good portable grill   June 22, 2010
V. Lee (California)
This is a pretty good compact grill that you can take to the park, beach, etc. There are also plenty of accessories you can buy, like the cart, cover, or propane line converter. Because of the small size, you can't cook too much food at once--but that's the trade-off for portability! It seems to be pretty durable too, because it accidentally got knocked over while on the cart and it didn't break.
