Product Description Cast iron heat retention provides quick, efficient and even cooking. Perfect for gas, charcoal & electric grills or induction, gas and ceramic stove tops. Curved sides with rounded deep base for stirring and tossing foods easily. 5 year warranty.
Amazon.com Review Much heavier than traditional steel woks, this solid cast-iron wok absorbs and retains heat at the high temperatures needed for superior stir-fry cooking. A flat bottom sits the wok securely on a stovetop, gas grill, or charcoal grill, while two loop handles allow for safe lifting with oven mitts. The wok measures 14 inches in diameter (17 inches with handles), and 4 inches deep--generous enough for a family-size meal. The wok must be seasoned before first use to create a nonstick patina that also helps prevent rusting. After washing, apply a thin layer of vegetable oil and heat the wok for one hour. While the wok can be seasoned on a grill, an oven works best. Instructions for the seasoning process are included with the wok. After subsequent use, the wok should be washed by hand and dried before storing. Mr. Bar-B-Q covers the wok with a five-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

Chips August 19, 2010 Ryan Cooked with this about 3 times now the bottom is starting to chip off. I only used a wood spoon when I cooked and used water and a soft sponge to clean it with. Sending it back and getting the one that's 10$ more.
worked good as a wedding gift............... July 12, 2010 castironchef I wanted to get them something that will last forever............I do like the one's with the single forged handle, better. Wok arrived to recipient's location in a timely manner.
Cash Iron Wok June 24, 2010 Guard Mom (Texas, USA) This wok was all I hoped it would be and more. It can be heated to a very high temp without damage. At such temperatures, dinner can be cooked in about 10 minutes or less. It makes the electric wok I used to have seem like a child's toy. It arrived in great condition, but then, it's cast iron--how could it do anything else? My daughter has already indicated that she wants one of her own when she moves out to go to college. I am very happy with this product and cannot say enough good about it. I can cut my vegetables, marinate my meat or tofu, and store in covered dishes in the 'fridge until I get home from work. When I come home, I turn on the fire under the wok, change clothes, then get the pre-cut food out and start cooking. 10 minutes later, a tasty dinner is on the table! I wish I had bought this years ago! I clean it after it gets cool with soap and water-no dishwasher, dry it, then lightly oil it and store it in the oven. Can use steel wool if needed. Easy, easy!
Has its good points, but still not quite what I wanted. June 4, 2010 M. M. Poor (Forney, TX United States) I love cast iron and wok cooking, so this was almost a no-brainer purchase. I love cast iron because of the ability to season it to a non-stick surface naturally. The biggest downfall of this piece of equipment is that I cannot quite accomplish that because the cooking surface is not smooth enough. The surface is fairly rough and irregular, which is slightly difficult when trying to stir-fry.
On the other hand, it is a very convenient size for cooking; neither too small or large, and very sturdy on the stove. The handles are not only convenient, but necessary because it is very heavy. It stands alone so you can use both your hands for just the cooking. It does make storage difficult due to its size, and because of its weight, you can't cubby it standing on its side. I have to keep it on top of my fridge and then I have to wash it before I use it each time.
The last problem I had with it is that, no matter how long I seem to leave it on my gas stove prior to cooking, it doesn't seem to get quite hot enough or retain high enough heat to get a really good sear or even, quick softening of the veggies. I would venture to say the thickness through the base is detrimental. I want to love this item, but I can't quite get there. I must say, in its defense, that I haven't found one better, either.
Bottom line: if the inner surface were smooth like the inner surface of other cast iron skillets, I think it would be much much more useful.
Mr. BBQ Cast Iron Wok April 19, 2010 My son-in-law was thrilled with this item, especially when he found he could use it both indoors on the range and outdoors on the grill.
