5 out of 5 stars Is it possible to love a grill?   August 24, 2010
Lawrence Sterne (Greenwich, CT)
Not having bought a new grill in at least 10 years, I was appalled by the prices, the fact that the technology was stone-age, and how ugly today's grills are. I chose this one based largely on price and because it's footprint was considerably smaller than most, even though it had the same cooking surface. It's also a lot better looking than those huge rectangle-things. I was worried because it was so much less expensive... did it have enough "btu's," did Weber skimp on the quality? Did the lack of "flavorizer bars" mean my food wouldn't taste grilled?

Not to worry! Despite using less gas this grill puts out a tremendous amount of heat - gets to 500 degrees in about 10 minutes or less - but the temperature is easy to control and I am able to control the cooking perfectly. There are fewer flare-ups, and the food tastes great! The grill surface is heavy duty and sears meat perfectly. To say I am thrilled with this grill would be an understatement.

One more thing... They seem to be in short supply. Amazon missed its shipping estimate (ticked me off) but I discovered Amazon has a refurbished/returned operation. Bought one in a new, unopened factory box that supposedly had some cosmetic damage (I never saw it). Saved big $$ and got it the next day with Prime for $4 extra.

5 out of 5 stars So far so good.   August 24, 2010

This fella leaves amazing sear marks!

I loved my last grill and I was not sure this grill would live up to the hype, but after one week of grilling I am very happy with the Q320. This grill heats up fast and has very even surface temps. Not much else to say, I am very satisfied thus far.

5 out of 5 stars Super Grill   August 24, 2010

This is a great grill. It's large enough to cook for several people and small enough to use every day. It heats up very fast and I've cooked everything from steaks to ribs, hamburgers, and a roast and this grill does it all for me. Took about an hour to put it all together, but it was no problem at all. Looks good and cooks great. If you are looking for a great gas grill this is the one you need to consider. You won't be sorry you bought this grill, it's nice.

This is the best grill that I have owned, and I have had a lot of grills. It cooks great, is well made, and is worth the money. I would definitely recommend it.

4 out of 5 stars Impressive grill!   August 17, 2010
taliskr (Los Angeles, CA)
This Weber grill is impressive! I researched others that were about $100 cheaper but the reviews kept me from buying. I stepped up to this level and purchased. The reviews of this one are very accurate. Great grill, solid cooking grate, semi-portable if you lift and roll the two wheels.

Some concerns: The cover won't fit unless you lower both side tables. The wheels are attached by a hammered-on axle-cap (so far so good but my patio is smooth concrete). The body is mostly made of sturdy plastic with the cast-iron grilling body - it's not all metal. The instructions aren't as good as other DIY products (like IKEA) and they include a couple mistakes & unclear steps - give yourself ~90 minutes and that's if you've put together other multi-step purchases. A propane tank is not included. If I'd bought this at a local hardware store, one would have been included. I recommend purchasing a tank ahead of time so it's ready for your first day! Lastly, note that the two cooking zones are an outer ring of fire, and an inner strip - this is my first BBQ that doesn't have left & right zones; makes it hard to stage food off to the side, I'm hoping the small elevated rack will help somewhat.

Buying from Amazon: Worst experience I've ever had with Amazon. Major delays. When I bought it the first time, it was listed "In Stock" with Prime shipping. Turned out Prime's 2-day shipping wasn't supported from Amazon (perhaps because of the weight, however other vendors on Amazon.com do ship 2-day). Then, Amazon kept emailing me a later shipping date. When I called, they said it was a problem with the fulfillment facility related to that order (huh?) and that we had to cancel the first order and create a new one. He promised (his word) that it wouldn't be delayed again. It was delayed again. I called, they said it was listed as 2-4 week delivery, no longer "In Stock", as if that explained everything. I canceled that order, paid more from another vendor, and received 2-day shipping from that vendor. I highly recommend exploring other vendors before buying large items from Amazon.
