It is worth the price July 19, 2010 S. Agrawal (Hillsboro, OR United States) Bought it at a general store for 80 bucks. Afte reading all the reviews here, we were very suspicious about the assembly. So we started very carefully and took stock of all the parts after opening the box. Surprisingly all the parts were there and none was missing. It took me and my wife about 2 hrs to assemble. But the instructions in the booklet were clear and they had very properly marked all the screws which was really helpful.
Did our first barbecue yesterday evening and turn out to be good.
Cooking area is good for 4-5 people.
never again June 14, 2010 Stephen C. Fichet We have bought 3 Char-broil gas/lava briquet grills over the last 12 years and loved them all. Now, they've removed the briquets and ruined a good thing. Our latest grill is worthless to us. $128 down the drain. We want our steaks to have a charred exterior to seal in the juices. We have had that for years and expect it now. That is not possible with this gas grill. Why does Char-broil espouse "Char" when there is nothing about their gas grill that will char anything? We will never buy another Char-Broil after this experience.
DO NOT BUY April 22, 2010 Robert J. Moreland (macon,ga) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I did not need anything fancy so I bought this model and what a mistake. Spend a little more and buy something better. I WILL NEVER BUY A Char-Broil again and I do not recommend anything they sell now. The assembly was a nightmare. Some of the parts did not fit and I had to order more. I cant get the hood to stay up. As one person said not even a penny is worth spending on this grill and I agree. Please spend a few dollars more and a different brand.
One star but only because I can't rate it lower.. April 5, 2010 Randall Riley (Austin, TX) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The engineering on this grill as well as the instructions were HORRIBLE. I can make no comment about how well it does or does not function as I am taking mine back. Like someone else said, you get what you pay for and I wouldn't give one red penny for this one.
grill sucks December 28, 2009 Marcella Michael (washington dc) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I tried to put the grill together and the instructions were not clear and some pieces did no fit together. The building instructions say 30-40 minutes but it took more than two hours to build 3/4 of it. Dont buy the grill it is cheap.
