5 out of 5 stars This Weber Grill is Excellent   June 5, 2010

This grill is great for camping, small apartment or similar use. It cooks 4 - 6 12 oz. steaks using an even flame and temperature.
You will not be disappointed. The higher cost vs the competition is worth it.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth the price   May 30, 2010

You can't go wrong with one of the small "Q" series Weber grills. After 8 years of living in apartments with fire code restrictions that prevented the use of grills on patios and balconies, buying a grill was a high priority for my new, grill - friendly apartment complex. But which grill?. I didn't like the size, cheapo construction and bulk of the cart-types I saw lined up in front of the Mega-Lowmart. I live alone and don't do much entertaining, so a small gas unit would fit the bill. I got the Weber Q120 over the 100 for the added wing tables and the electronic ignition. Well worth extra $30. The "AAA" battery powered ignition is elegant and works on the first try every time. Time to set up from box to burgers on grill is less than 15 minutes.
I'll chime in with everybody that the cast iron grill is a big plus, cooking evenly and leaving perfect grill marks on the food. The burners put out a lot of heat, the first time I overcooked the burgers. The second time I cut down the warm up time to 3 minutes and the cooking temp to medium, resulting in some of the most perfectly cooked chicken I've ever done.
I'm using the 16.4 oz. canister with no problem, and they are recommended in the instruction book. I don't know if this is true, but some web sites link regulator problems with use of the large 5 gal tanks. Something about a lubricant that is present in bulk propane that is not present in the small canisters the "Q"s are designed for. An excellent product, worth the price.

Good grill, cooks great. The actual cooking grill is HARD to clean, but we are researching better ways to clean it.
Overall a great grill!

4 out of 5 stars Regulator made in China!   May 7, 2010

I just bought a Weber Q 120 grill, which I already used 2 times, and so far I like it a lot! After reading that many owners had problems with the gas regulators on the Weber Q grills, today I just noticed by accident that on the inside of the regulator it clearly says "made in china"!!! Weber advertises this grill as Made in USA, which I like, but I was so disappointed to see that the regulator was made in China.... Perhaps that's why so many people had failing regulators on the Q grills! Weber is missadvertising their product and cutting corners!
The grill itself performs well, and the flame is hot, although it is a small grill, so the flame won't get very big. Overall, the grill is wonderful. Hopefully the regulator will not fail... But again, Made in USA should mean MADE IN USA, not CHINA!!! Shame on Weber for cutting corners, that's why I am rating it 4 stars. (BTW, my Q120 was purchased in April 2010)
Would I recommend the grill - yes!

5 out of 5 stars Too soon for long term evaluation, but so far so very good!   January 18, 2010

Gave four of these units to each of our adult children and families for Christmas gifts and got one for ourselves. All arrived on schedule. All units assembled fine with no problems. Use has been minimal to date as it is mid winter, but so far all have liked their units and they performed well, and as expected. Long term wear expectations are high at this point, but only time will tell.
